Mien Tay Lodge Ecotourism Site partners with the Sa Dec Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival

(DTO) Amid the vibrant atmosphere of the year-end season, Dong Thap Province has become a focal point for tourism with the Second Sa Dec Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival 2025.

The Mien Tay Lodge Ecotourism Site, located in Tan Duong Commune, Dong Thap Province, will accompany the Sa Dec Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival with many distinctive highlights to serve visitors.

PARTNERING WITH THE “FLOWER CAPITAL”

Within the series of events of the Second Sa Dec Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival, taking place from December 27, 2025 to January 4, 2026, Mien Tay Lodge Ecotourism Site is one of the active partners working closely with local authorities.

Situated in the heart of Sa Dec Flower Village in Sa Dec Ward, Mien Tay Lodge Ecotourism Site is an ideal stop for visitors seeking to explore the charm of garden landscapes associated with flowers and ornamental plants.

With architecture harmoniously integrated with nature and experiences closely linked to riverine culture, Mr. Doan Huu Nhieu, Director of Mien Tay Lodge Ecotourism Site, offers accommodation and experiential services that embody the distinctive character of the Mekong Delta.

Over the years, Mien Tay Lodge Ecotourism Site has accompanied major cultural events of Dong Thap Province, especially the First Sa Dec Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival, contributing to promoting the image of the century-old Sa Dec Flower Village to domestic and international visitors.

Director Doan Huu Nhieu affirmed: "We are committed to long-term partnership to promote the image of Sa Dec-the 'flower capital' of the Mekong Delta-to a wide range of visitors."

According to Mr. Doan Huu Nhieu, the Sa Dec Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival 2025 conveys the message “New Space – New Experience,” featuring expanded scale, more landscaped displays and increased interactive activities.

“Mien Tay Lodge Ecotourism Site has fully prepared facilities, manpower and organizational plans to help create a safe, well-organized and emotionally rich festival season,” he said.

FIRST-TIME SHOWCASE OF 100 FLOWER VARIETIES

On an area of approximately 1,500 square meters, Mr. Doan Huu Nhieu has grown 100 new flower varieties, including lavender, phlox, snapdragon, impatiens and blanket flower.

A distinctive feature of these flowers is that they are F1 varieties imported directly from the Netherlands, acclimatized outdoors by engineers from Syngenta Company, without the need for greenhouse systems.

After about two to three months of cultivation, the flowers have grown well, displaying vivid colors and blooming on schedule despite tropical climate conditions.

The most notable highlight of Mien Tay Lodge Ecotourism Site at the Sa Dec Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival 2025 is its cooperation with Syngenta Company to display more than 20 novel flower varieties and 100 high-quality varieties for visitors to explore and experience.

Many unique flower varieties are being introduced for the first time, promising to attract large numbers of visitors and flower enthusiasts, such as Sunfinity sunflowers, wax mallow, blanket flowers, vinca and textured-leaf chrysanthemums.

Notably, the flower varieties experimentally cultivated at Mien Tay Lodge Ecotourism Site will be officially showcased, contributing to diversifying Sa Dec’s flower and ornamental plant products.

Mr. Doan Huu Nhieu expressed his hope: “By accompanying the Sa Dec Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival 2025, Mien Tay Lodge Ecotourism Site will become a prominent cultural and tourism destination, while contributing to elevating the local image within the strategy of agricultural tourism development”.
