(DTO) As part of its working visit to Yunnan Province, China, on the morning of December 17, the Dong Thap provincial delegation visited the Ho Chi Minh Historical Site on Nanhuashan Street in Kunming City.

This was where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked during 1940-1941, meeting Vietnamese revolutionaries and discussing key matters of Vietnam’s revolutionary movement.

The Dong Thap provincial delegation listens to an introduction about the Ho Chi Minh Historical Site on Nanhuashan Street in Kunming City.

Located at 89-91 Nanhuashan Street, the site features a three-story brick-and-wood house displaying many valuable photographs and documents from President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary activities in Kunming.

With significant historical, cultural, and educational value, the site was recognized as a Municipal-Level Cultural Relic Site in 2011 and a Provincial-Level Cultural Relic Site in 2019. It serves as a “red address” for revolutionary education and a meaningful destination for Vietnamese visitors to Kunming.

Members of the delegation expressed deep emotion as they learned about the life and revolutionary activities of President Ho Chi Minh and viewed historical archives at the site.

That afternoon, the Dong Thap delegation, led by Phan Van Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap Province; along with Tran Van Dung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and leaders of provincial departments of Sa Dec and My Phong wards, and agricultural enterprises, held a working session with the leadership of Yunnan Province on cooperation in ecological agriculture and ornamental plant development.

They were received by He Lianghui, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Yunnan Provincial Committee. At the meeting, Yunnan leaders introduced the province’s strengths in fresh flower production, earning its reputation as China’s “Kingdom of Plants”.

The province also has advantages in non-ferrous metal mining, development of clean and renewable energy sources such as hydropower, wind and solar power, along with a modern, synchronized transport infrastructure system.

Both sides also exchanged information on organizational structures, functions, and operations of the CPPCC Yunnan Provincial Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap Province, noting many similarities in promoting supervisory and social feedback roles toward agencies and officials to ensure compliance with Party and State regulations.
Concluding the meeting, both sides expressed hopes for soon achieving deeper and more comprehensive cooperation agreements across multiple sectors, contributing to socio-economic development in each locality.

The two sides agreed to assign specialized agencies to continue coordination and provide consultation on completing procedures toward signing long-term cooperation agreements between the two provincial authorities, creating mechanisms to attract business investment and expand effective cooperation in the near future.
