The Italian Communist Party on May 19 published an article paying tribute to President Ho Chi Minh on the occasion of his birth anniversary, describing him as a pivotal leader of Viet Nam’s liberation struggle and a global symbol of anti-colonial resistance and anti-imperialist movements.

At a time when Viet Nam’s revolutionary movement was still in its infancy, young patriot Nguyen Ai Quoc, later known as Ho Chi Minh, lived and operated under extremely hardships, constantly relocating to evade persecution while secretly mobilising and rallying revolutionary forces.

Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Council, led a working delegation to meet with the Standing Board of the Tan Phuoc 2 Commune Party Committee.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee and State President To Lam chaired a working session in Ha Noi on May 13 with representatives from ministries, central agencies and relevant bodies to review the organisation and operations of the central steering committees for institutional and legal reform and for judicial reform.

Bui Thi Minh Hoai was re-elected President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee for the 2026-2031 tenure at the first conference of the 11th-term VFF Central Committee, held before the closing session of its 11th National Congress on May 13 morning in Ha Noi.

The 11th Dong Thap Provincial People’s Council for the 2026–2031 tenure convened its Second Session to consider and decide on urgent matters within its jurisdiction.

The meeting was attended by residents from My Tho, Dao Thanh, My Phong, Thoi Son, and Trung An wards.
