Dong Thap National Assembly delegation conducted a voter outreach session in Tan Duong Commune

(DTO) On the morning of December 13, the Dong Thap National Assembly (NA) delegation held a meeting with voters following the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly. 

Attending the meeting included: His Excellency Le Minh Hoan, Member of the Party Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Ta Minh Tam, Provincial Party Committee member and Deputy Head of the Dong Thap National Assembly delegation; Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan, Provincial Party Committee member, Member of the National Assembly Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, and Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap People’s Committee; and Mr. Pham Van Hoa, Member of the National Assembly Committee on Law and Overview of the voter meeting.

At the meeting, the delegation informed voters about key issues discussed at the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly. Specifically, the National Assembly considered and passed the Extradition Law, the Law on Transfer of Persons Serving Prison Sentences; the Law Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Education Law; the Law on Higher Education; and the Law on Vocational Education Law.

In addition, the NA delegation provided information on National Assembly resolutions introducing special and advanced mechanisms and policies to achieve breakthrough development in education and training, These measures aim to establish a complete legal framework for the national education system, promote decentralized governance, and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of state management in education.

Concurrently, The National Assembly also considered and enacted the Population Law, Disease Prevention Law, Digital Transformation Law, Artificial Intelligence Law, High Technology Law, and amendments to certain provisions of the Technology Transfer Law, among others.

After the briefing, voters in Tan Duong Commune offered opinions and proposals focusing on: health insurance regimes; the soaring prices of agricultural inputs; the sharp decline in commercial rice prices; counterfeit and substandard goods; climate change; and tax declarations.

They also raised concerns regarding support for specialized associations, land issues, social evils, wage policies, stricter management of social media information, control over hazardous chemicals, key transportation projects, traffic safety, and taxation.

On behalf of the National Assembly delegation, His Excellency Le Minh Hoan acknowledged the opinions and recommendations of Tan Duong voters.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan shared that in the coming period, the Tan Duong Party Committee and People’s Committee should promptly investigate and address the people’s proposals. At the same time, the Tan Duong Public Administrative Service Center should establish an information corner on socio-economic issues for public reference.

He emphasized that every commune official must be closer to the people and actively listen to them to promptly address their difficulties; attention should be given to social insurance support. He called on provincial departments and sectors to prioritize mechanisms and policies for people who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution, retired officials, and the elderly, including establishing a health insurance suggestion box. Furthermore, he encouraged every citizen to join hands in building a prosperous and beautiful homeland and to focus on safe, organic agricultural production.
