Dong Thap: Opening of Spring Flower Streets in Dao Thanh and Cao Lanh Wards
(DTO) On the evening of February 13 (the 26th day of the 12th lunar month), the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee held the opening ceremony for the 2026 Binh Ngo Spring Flower Streets in Dao Thanh and Cao Lanh Wards.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Le Minh Hoan, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Phan Van Thang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; former provincial leaders; and representatives from various departments and sectors.

The 2026 Binh Ngo Spring Flower Street at Hung Vuong Square (Dao Thanh Ward) features numerous grand displays and miniatures inspired by the natural beauty and distinctive cultural values of Dong Thap.
The overall design is highlighted by the welcome gate "Dong Thap Wishes You a Happy New Year - Spring Binh Ngo 2026" and major themes such as: "Scent of Time - Hometown Spring," "Green Industry - Green Factories," "Dong Thap - Aspiration for Development," and "Rising Brilliantly - Towards the Future."
Alongside the floral displays, an arts stage will host nightly cultural and sports activities, including Don Ca Tai Tu (traditional music), circus and magic shows, musical exchanges, dragon and lion dances, martial arts performances, and giant chess games to serve residents and tourists.
The 2026 Binh Ngo Spring Flower Street in Cao Lanh Ward, located on Ly Thuong Kiet Street, showcases themes such as "Double Horses Welcoming Spring," "Cascading Prosperity," "Luminous Wealth," "Prosperous Dawn," and "Spring in the River Region." These are accompanied by cultural activities like folk singing, Dong Thap chanting (ho Dong Thap), folk games, and rhythmic gymnastics.
The Spring Flower Street space is designed as a continuous flow between tradition and modernity, where symbols of green economy, renewable energy, and civilized urbanization harmoniously intertwine with bamboo crafts, traditional villages, and the rhythm of river life. All elements are delicately and impressively arranged, offering residents and visitors a colorful and memorable spring journey.
Overall, the flower street serves as a wish for a peaceful, prosperous, and successful New Year, portraying a Dong Thap that is growing strongly and developing sustainably while staying deeply rooted in its culture, nature, and people.
The Spring Flower Streets in Dao Thanh and Cao Lanh Wards will take place for nine days, from February 13 to February 21 (from the 26th day of the 12th lunar month to the 5th day of the Lunar New Year).
