DONG THAP PROVINCE POLITICAL SCHOOL: Exchanging experience in training, fostering, and scientific research with Salavan Provincial Political and Administrative School

(DTO) On the morning of December 17, the Dong Thap Provincial School of Politics organized a seminar themed “Training, Capacity Building, and Scientific Research at the Dong Thap Provincial School of Politics and the Salavan Provincial School of Politics and Administration”.

Attending the seminar were Dr. Nguyen Phuoc Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Principal of the Dong Thap Provincial School of Politics; Mr. Chanthavon Syhachak, Principal of the Salavan Provincial School of Politics and Administration; along with officials and lecturers from both schools of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and Viet Nam.

The seminar aimed to strengthen exchanges, cooperation, and professional interaction between the two schools, while sharing experience in organizing training, capacity-building programs, and scientific research activities. It also helped shape future cooperation orientations, contributing to improving the quality of operations of both institutions.

Leaders of the two schools sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation, agreeing to further strengthen exchanges and collaboration to foster solidarity between the two institutions.

Through the seminar, many important issues were clarified, particularly in the areas of cadre training and development, innovation in curricula and teaching methods, scientific research activities, and the development of teaching staff.

Notably, valuable experience shared by the Salavan Provincial School of Politics and Administration in organizing training closely linked to local state management practices offered many practical and applicable approaches.

At the same time, the Dong Thap Provincial School of Politics presented several outstanding results and implementation solutions in training, capacity building, and scientific research, especially in the context of organizational restructuring and efforts to meet national standards for political schools.

Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Nguyen Phuoc Dung emphasized: “Today’s seminar is not only an exchange of information and professional experience, but more importantly, it has contributed to strengthening and deepening the traditional relationship of solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between the two schools, the two provinces, and the two countries of Viet Nam and Laos.

This is an important foundation for further expanding cooperation in the coming time, such as joint scientific research, coordination in organizing conferences and thematic seminars, and gradually improving the quality of cadre training and capacity building.”

He also affirmed that the Dong Thap Provincial School of Politics would seriously absorb the opinions and proposals shared at the seminar and expressed the desire to continue receiving close and regular cooperation from the Salavan Provincial School of Politics and Administration in the spirit of sincerity, mutual trust, and shared development.

At the seminar, leaders of the two schools signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation, agreeing to further enhance exchanges and collaboration, contributing to strengthening solidarity not only between the two institutions but also between Dong Thap Province and Salavan Province more broadly.
