Dong Thap: Spending over 242 billion VND on maintenance and repair of roads and waterways

(DTO) The Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision on adjusting the list and capital plan for road and waterway maintenance and repair projects in 2025.

According to observations, recently, due to the impact of weather, many traffic routes in the province have shown signs of deterioration and damage, affecting the travel of residents.

To remedy the above situation, the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision on adjusting the list and capital plan for road and waterway maintenance and repair projects in 2025. The total estimated budget for implementing the maintenance and repair items in 2025 is 242.218 billion VND. 

The Director of the Dong Thap Provincial Department of Construction is responsible for reviewing and prioritizing the approved projects to be implemented within the scope of the allocated appropriation for 2025; implementing the maintenance and repair effectively, using the funds for the intended purpose, and carrying out the procedures for payment and finalization of funds in accordance with legal regulations.

The Provincial People's Committee also requires that the implementation process must avoid overlap with traffic projects using public investment capital that are currently in the stage awaiting project warranty clearance.
