(DTO) As the historic days of April approach, the atmosphere across the province is buzzing with preparations for the April 30 and May 1 holidays. From eco-tourism orchards to unique experiential sites, destinations are racing to renovate, upgrade, and refresh their offerings to present a vibrant new look, ready for the expected influx of tourists.

REVITALIZING SPACES TO WELCOME VISITORS

Observations at many tourist attractions show that landscape refurbishment has been implemented simultaneously from an early stage.

At Tu Ton Rose Garden (Sa Dec Ward), the space is entering its most beautiful time of year as the pink shower trees (Cassia javanica) are in full bloom, dyeing the entire garden in pink hues.

The poetic beauty of pink shower trees at Tu Ton Rose Garden (Sa Dec Ward) promises to attract a large number of tourists during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

The straight rows of trees, with blossoms intermingled, create a poetic scenery that draws visitors for sightseeing and photography.

According to Mr. Duong Van Que, owner of Tu Ton Rose Garden, in preparation for the major holidays, his site has proactively tended to plants, pruned branches, and added mini-landscapes such as wooden bridges, swings, and flower arrangements to provide visitors with more impressive "check-in" corners.

Beyond being a mere sightseeing spot, the garden offers a sense of relaxation and immersion in fresh nature.

Similarly, at Mien Tay Lodge (Tan Duong Commune), preparations are well underway.

One of the most notable highlights of this year’s holiday season is the simultaneous effort by tourist sites to enhance the quality of their products and services.

In addition to sightseeing, visitors can immerse themselves in a wide range of authentic Mekong Delta experiences such as boat rowing, visiting fruit orchards, exploring floating fish villages, feeding fish, and enjoying rustic local cuisine.

Moreover, many destinations have introduced performances of Đờn ca tài tử, creating a lively and intimate atmosphere that reflects the cultural identity of the region.

The combination of sightseeing, hands-on experiences, and entertainment not only enriches the visitor experience but also helps extend tourists’ length of stay and increase their spending.

In addition to existing facilities, the unit continues to invest in sunflower gardens, vineyards, and check-in areas imbued with the rustic charm of the orchard regions. The harmonious combination of natural landscapes and simple decoration creates a unique attraction for this destination.

Not stopping at "beautification," tourist sites are also focusing on expanding experiential spaces. From shaded walkways and meticulously cared-for flower trellises to resting areas, all aim to create a green, clean, and friendly environment for tourists.

In the Thap Muoi Lotus Field area (Doc Binh Kieu Commune), tourist sites have refurbished boat wharves, walkways, and food courts. They have also organized additional services such as rowing boats to pick lotuses, enjoying lotus-based cuisine, and taking photos in Ao Dai amidst the vast lotus marshes. These are signature experiences that consistently attract large crowds during every holiday and festival.

Mr. Nguyen Van Son, owner of the Long Son Fish Raft in Thoi Son Ward, stated that for this year's holiday, the unit has invested in a fish raft area integrated into the community tourism chain.

Accordingly, the raft village allows tourists to experience feeding fish, "fish massages," and dining on the Tien River while enjoying the natural atmosphere.

“We expect a sharp increase in visitors; therefore, every step—from service to food safety assurance—has been meticulously prepared,” Mr. Son shared.

STRENGTHENING PROMOTION AND STIMULATING TOURISM DEMAND

Entertainment and check-in spots at My Tho cafés are now adorned with national flags and historical displays commemorating the April 30 victory.

Visitors delighted to check in at the vibrant sunflower field at Mien Tay Lodge
(Tan Duong Commune).

Ms. Le Thi Tuyen, owner of Mori Café, shared: “The Liberation of the South and National Reunification is a significant and sacred milestone for every Vietnamese.

Therefore, we planned early to decorate our space in a way that is both solemn and welcoming, attracting many people, especially young visitors, to take photos and check in.

Through this, we hope to spread the spirit of patriotism to everyone. The spaces are carefully designed, emphasizing traditional elements while incorporating modern touches that suit current tastes.”

In tandem with innovating products, tourism businesses are focusing on enhancing service quality. Staff have undergone training in service skills and civilized, friendly behavior. Accommodation facilities have conducted room sanitization and inspected electrical, water, and equipment systems to ensure visitor safety.

Food safety remains a top priority. Restaurants and eateries are strictly controlling ingredient sources and ensuring hygienic processing. Many establishments have publicly listed their prices, committing to no sudden price hikes during the holiday to build trust with tourists.

To attract visitors, localities and tourism enterprises have stepped up promotional efforts across multiple platforms. Promotional programs, discounts, and travel combos have been widely implemented.

Images of destinations and tourism products are frequently updated on social media and websites, contributing to the broad dissemination of information.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Duy, Business Manager of Gocobay (Sencodofarm, Tan Dien Commune), stated: “Currently, the resort is coordinating the organization of events and cultural-artistic programs to serve tourists during the holiday.

These activities not only create highlights but also contribute to promoting local cultural beauty.

Additionally, environmental sanitation is being emphasized, with increased waste collection, more trash bins, and communication to raise visitors' awareness of environmental protection, contributing to building a green and sustainable tourism image.”

With thorough and synchronized preparation from many sides, tourist sites in the province expect a vibrant, safe, and effective holiday season. This is not only an opportunity for businesses to increase revenue but also an occasion to promote the local image and attract tourists to return in the future.

It is evident that proactivity and creativity in tourism management are creating a strong draw for destinations. When each locality knows how to leverage its unique advantages while continuously improving service quality, the tourism industry will gain further momentum for sustainable development.

As the April 30 and May 1 holiday approaches, tourist sites are ready to welcome visitors with friendliness, thoughtfulness, and unique experiences, carrying high expectations for the flourishing of the "smoke-free industry" in the region.
