Flowers are beginning to bloom, ready to welcome the 2nd Sa Đec Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival
(DTO) In less than 20 days, the 2nd Sa Đec Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival will officially open. By this time, farmers and cooperative groups in the area have completed preparations, ready to supply a large quantity of quality flowers and ornamental plants for the event and the upcoming Lunar New Year market.

Farmer Huynh Huu Phuoc (Tan An Hamlet, Sa Đec Ward, Đong Thap Province) shared that this year, he boldly increased production threefold compared to last year, reaching 12,000 pots of flowers. Of these, 9,000 pots were grown specifically to serve the Festival, mainly familiar types of flowers such as potted mound chrysanthemums, traditional chrysanthemums, and petunias.
Mr. Phuoc expressed his hope that this year's Festival will be successful, helping to elevate the value of the Sa Đec flower brand and attracting businesses to invest in tourism so that Sa Đec can retain visitors longer.

Mr. Đang Quang Giau, Leader of the Tan An Hamlet Flower and Ornamental Plant Cooperative Group, stated that the group has prepared a total of 200,000 pots of flowers to serve the Festival and the Tet market. Notably, the group also set aside 5,000 pots of flowers to decorate the entrance gate and a 500 meter long flower street, participating in the Beautiful Flower Street Gate Decoration Contest. Additionally, the group decorated miniature landscapes, such as a flag arranged with flowers, to cater to visitors' check-in needs.
Mr. Giau expressed confidence that the Festival will provide residents with a "bridge from the Western New Year to the Lunar New Year," creating momentum for a successful new year.

According to the Sa Đec Division of Economy - Infrastructure and Urban Management, the locality currently has over 4,000 households growing flowers and ornamental plants, covering an area of nearly 1,000 hectares. Specifically, the estimated supply for the 2026 Tet market is about 1.3 - 1.4 million pots of flowers and ornamental plants, mainly various types of chrysanthemums and colored potted mound chrysanthemums. Furthermore, to serve this year's Festival, farmers have also prepared new flower varieties such as saffron flowers, sakura chrysanthemums, multi-colored potted mound chrysanthemums, and more.
