Lao media praises Viet Nam-Laos special relations
ĐTO/NDO- Ahead of General Secretary To Lam’s state visit to Laos, major Lao newspapers have published several articles praising the special relationship between the two countries.
In the past two days, leading newspapers in Laos, including Pasaxon and Pathedlao, have carried a series of articles on the special Laos-Viet Nam relationship, emphasising that it is an exemplary, loyal, pure, and rare bond in international relations.
The articles stressed that this relationship has been a decisive factor in the success of each country’s revolutionary cause, a priceless shared asset of the two peoples, and an important source of strength for national construction and defence in both countries.
The articles underscored that the glorious victories of the two peoples have always been closely linked to the great assistance and the special fighting alliance between Laos and Viet Nam.
They also reviewed significant achievements in bilateral cooperation in recent years.
The political relationship between the two countries has continued to be strengthened, serving as the cornerstone guiding all aspects of bilateral ties.
Senior leaders of both countries regularly meet and exchange views, reflecting a high level of political trust.
Economic, trade, and investment cooperation has also been strongly promoted, yielding many notable results. Viet Nam remains among the largest foreign investors in Laos.
The two countries have also maintained close coordination in foreign affairs. Viet Nam provided effective support to help Laos successfully fulfil its roles as Chair of ASEAN and Chair of AIPA in 2024, thereby contributing to enhancing Laos’s position and role in the region.
The articles affirmed that Viet Nam’s sincere support and assistance have made an important contribution to Laos’s political stability and socio-economic development.
They further noted that in the context of complex regional and international developments, the special Laos-Viet Nam relationship continues to demonstrate its vital role in the stability and development of each country.
Finally, the articles stressed that the two Parties, the two States and the peoples of both nations will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder, strengthen comprehensive cooperation, and further deepen the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Viet Nam, delivering tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries.
