Site Handover Underway for Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park Project
(DTO) On the afternoon of August 7, the People's Committee of Tan Phuoc 3 Commune in Dong Thap Province, in coordination with relevant authorities, presided over the preliminary handover of a 360-hectare site to deploy infrastructure for the Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park (IP) Infrastructure Construction and Operations Project.

The Tan Phuoc 1 IP project spans 470 hectares in Tan Phuoc 3 Commune, requiring a total investment of over VND 5.936 trillion, including more than VND 896 billion in the investor’s equity contribution. The project has an operating term of 50 years from the date its investment policy is approved simultaneously with the investor selection.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Director of IDICO Tien Giang JSC—the project investor—site clearance for Phase 1 has reached approximately 97.5%, with households having received compensation and vacated the land.
Local authorities are continuing to mobilize the remaining non-consenting households to accept compensation and hand over their land. For Phase 2, which covers around 110 hectares, only the final household has yet to receive compensation, and local officials are actively campaigning to reach a consensus.
Technical infrastructure is scheduled to break ground in September 2026. Immediately after the groundbreaking ceremony, the investor will simultaneously deploy key infrastructure facilities, including a wastewater treatment plant, an IP operations center, an administrative building, a 110-kV substation, and a clean water treatment plant.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai added that the Tan Phuoc 1 IP is slated to begin attracting secondary investors in the first quarter of 2027. The synchronous development of the infrastructure system is expected to provide businesses with early land access to quickly launch their production and business projects.

The IP aims to primarily attract investment in consumer goods manufacturing and agro-product processing—sectors well-positioned to capitalize on the locality's abundant raw materials and labor supply.
The early completion of infrastructure and the attraction of secondary investors will help the locality leverage its inherent advantages, driving economic development and contributing to Dong Thap Province's double-digit growth target in the coming period.

Tan Phuoc 1 IP boasts a strategic location with seamless access to major expressways, including the Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong – My Thuan – Can Tho and Ben Luc – Long Thanh routes. This establishes the efficient trade corridor connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the Mekong Delta.
In particular, the waterway transport system, coupled with an inland port within the IP, will offer businesses greater flexibility in freight transport, optimizing logistics costs and enhancing connectivity with major regional seaports.
