The Ceremony to Receive the Certificate of Special National Relic Ranking for the Tomb of Deputy Bachelor Nguyen Sinh Sac

(DTO) On the morning of December 16, at the Nguyen Sinh Sac Relic Site in Cao Lanh Ward, the Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap Province solemnly held a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing the Tomb of Nguyen Sinh Sac as a Special National Relic Site, and to inaugurate the project on the restoration, enhancement, and promotion of the values of the Nguyen Sinh Sac Relic Site.

Attending the ceremony were Comrades Tran Thanh Lam, Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization; Phan Tam, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ngo Chi Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Dong Thap National Assembly delegation; Le Quoc Phong, Member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Hai Tram, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee; Chau Thi My Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council; Pham Thanh Ngai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; former members of the Party Central Committee; former leaders of central ministries and agencies; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; veteran revolutionaries; leaders of provinces and cities; current and former leaders of Dong Thap Province across terms; and members of the Nguyen Sinh family.

According to Nguyen Thi Uyen Trang, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in 2025 the province commenced the project to restore, enhance, and promote the values of the Nguyen Sinh Sac Relic Site with a synchronized and modern scale. The project includes the restoration and enhancement of the tomb canopy, the temple, exhibition house on his life and career, Uncle Ho’s stilt house, structures within the area of the former Hoa An Village, overall landscape improvement of the relic site, and more, with a total investment exceeding 172 billion VND.

The Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism noted that the project has now been completed and put into use, creating a dignified cultural and historical space. It opens up favorable conditions for research, preservation, and promotion of the site’s historical and cultural values, representing a harmonious combination of preserving original elements and enhancing cultural significance, so that the relic site becomes a solemn and meaningful destination.

On September 11, 2025, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 1959 recognizing the historical relic of the Tomb of Nguyen Sinh Sac as a Special National Relic Site. This is a great honor and pride for the Party organization, authorities, and people of Dong Thap Province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee Pham Thanh Ngai called on agencies, units, and localities to focus on continuing education about the exemplary life of Nguyen Sinh Sac, who devoted his entire life to the nation and the people, embodying noble character, patriotism, simplicity, and closeness to the working people.

He emphasized the importance of closely linking this effort with the creative and substantive promotion of studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and style, so that the values of Nguyen Sinh Sac and Uncle Ho become a positive source of inspiration spreading throughout social life.

The management board of the relic site was urged to organize activities and welcome visitors with utmost care, politeness, and friendliness, so that visitors not only tour the site but also immerse themselves in a cultural space and deeply feel the tradition of gratitude.

Chairman Pham Thanh Ngai stressed: “Let the relic site be not only a place that preserves memories, but also one that nurtures gratitude, kindles love for the region, and the country, and fosters national pride for present and future generations. At the same time, develop plans for regular maintenance and restoration to ensure its enduring existence. 

Furthermore, continue researching, collecting documents, and organizing scientific seminars to further deepen the understanding of the milestones and events associated with the life of Nguyen Sinh Sac”.
