The First Working Session of the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Dong Thap Province, 2025-2030 Term
(DTO) On the afternoon of December 14, at the Provincial Conference Center in My Tho Ward, the first working session of the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) of Dong Thap Province for the 2025-2030 term was held.
Attending the Congress were representatives of the advisory and support agencies of the Provincial Party Committee, along with 341 out of 350 official delegates who are outstanding Youth Union officials and members, representing the trust, will, and aspirations of more than 114,000 Youth Union members across the province.

At the first working session, the Congress elected the Presidium, the Secretariat, and the Committee for the Verification of Delegate Credentials, and approved the agenda and working regulations of the Congress.
In his opening speech, Comrade Nguyen Quang Minh stated that, looking back on the implementation of the Resolution of the previous Youth Union Congress, it can be affirmed that Dong Thap’s youth have continued to strongly uphold their pioneering and leading role in the fields of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Many new models and solutions have emerged, leaving notable marks in learning, scientific research, and the application of technology in daily life and production. The startup and innovation movement has shown clear progress. Young people have proactively participated in the national digital transformation process with a strong sense of responsibility.

Political, ideological, and moral education activities for Youth Union members, teenagers, and children have been implemented in flexible and creative ways. The content and methods of organizing revolutionary action movements have become more in-depth, broader in scale, and gradually improved in quality, generating positive influence within the community.

Efforts to build and strengthen Youth Union organizations and expand the front of unity and youth mobilization have been emphasized in line with social development trends. At the same time, the Union’s role in overseeing the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization and caring for children has continued to be clearly demonstrated through many practical programs, creating a healthy environment for their comprehensive development. Youth Union officials have increasingly been standardized and trained through practice, becoming a reliable contingent for the Party, the State, and socio-political organizations, contributing to a solid foundation for youth work in the new period.
These encouraging achievements are attributed to the close guidance and support of the Secretariat of the Central Youth Union, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and Party committees and local authorities at all levels, which have created favorable conditions for nurturing, educating, and promoting the role and responsibility of young people. In particular, they reflect the dedication and strong sense of responsibility of Youth Union officials and members throughout Dong Thap Province.

The Provincial Youth Union Secretary also noted that this Congress will objectively and comprehensively assess the results achieved, identify shortcomings, and draw lessons learned from the implementation of the Youth Union Congress Resolution for the 2022-2025 period. Based on this, the Congress will determine objectives, tasks, and solutions for Youth Union work and youth movements for the 2025-2030 term.
Upholding the proud traditions of the youth, with the spirit of “Pioneering - Unity - Courage - Aspiration - Development,” the Congress firmly believes that Dong Thap’s youth will continue to promote the spirit of “Wherever there is a need, youth are present; whatever the difficulty, youth are ready,” remaining proactive, creative, and committed to holding high the banner of pioneering, and successfully fulfilling their mission in the national revolution of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
The Congress also heard presentations of the draft Political Report of the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term; the self-assessment report of the Executive Committee for the 2022-2025 period; a synthesis report of contributions to the Congress documents and to the documents of the 13th National Youth Union Congress for the 2026-2031 term; and a report summarizing feedback on the implementation of the Youth Union Charter and proposed amendments and supplements to the Charter.
